i'm ordering an '07 vette today:dancefool

only decision to be made is- standard or automatic.

if i was single, no question, standard (what else?) but,

the wife likes automatic (she says" get what you want", but i don't want to hear the whining),

also, i have a bad left leg, hope in the future, i won't need knee replacement, but right now, i'm okay.

go automatic, are you buying it on long island ??

also, you said you have a bad left leg, the corvettes are still a tight fit--fwiw

I couldn't buy a Corvette with an automatic. Some cars are meant for manual, some for automatic... like a Cadillac.

i traded in a '95 torch red vette with 102k miles. it was a very hard thing to do, as it had lots of memories, and i love the c-4 body style, but the engine needed to be replaced. hard to believe you could fall in love with a hunk of metal, but i'm a little depressed, like i lost a friend. my 11 year old son had tears in his eyes as they drove it away.

but the new one is sweet. i factory ordered it the way i want it(never did that before) now i gotta wait like 8 weeks, but it'll be worth it.:103631605

(Doing my best to refrain from asking why anyone would buy a GM product.)

As for auto vs. manual, here's how I see it. If you do 80% of your driving on the highway, go with manual. Otherwise, an automatic is one of the great pleasures of life one should not miss out on if given the chance.

Have fun in your new ride.
